Sautéed Greens

  1. 2 tbsp olive oil
  2. 2 large cloves garlic, minced
  3. 1/2 a bunch (5 to 6 oz) Swiss chard, ribs and leaves chopped separately
  4. 1/2 a bunch (5 to 6 oz) Tuscan or lacinato kale, leaves chopped coarsely
  5. Sea salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste
  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Add chard ribs and kale leaves and sauté for 2 minutes until softened.
  4. Add chard leaves, a handful at a time, stirring to coat with oil and garlic.
  5. Cover and cook until greens have softened, about 5 minutes.
  6. Stir once to keep greens and garlic from sticking.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
