Suggested Equipment/Clothing

TA_outside.jpgWe get a lot of questions like "You're going to do that outside? What about when it rains, gets cold, snows etc?" Our answer is, "There's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing."  Yes, yes I know how that sounds, but it's surprisingly true for our neck of the woods here.  Here are some suggestions for being properly prepared for the elements.

Make sure to ALWAYS bring water!

Wear layers.

Lower Body

(From bottom layer out)

Tight running pants or long john’s/underwear

Athletic shorts

Water repellant warm up/athletic pants (maybe even 2 of these layers when it’s cold)

Upper Body

(From bottom layer out)

Tight under armour type of shirt (generic available at walmart)

Athletic “technical” type of long sleeved shirt

Thicker tee shirt type of long sleeved shirt

Fleece sweatshirt or similar

Water repellant pullover if raining.

Warm ski hat or similar

Gloves/mittens

Athletic shoes for workouts on concrete/asphalt

Water repellant shoes such as hiking shoes or football/soccer cleats for dewy/rainy days

Other accessories

Costco is selling adhesive toe warmers that stick to your socks that are great in cold weather
