Avocado Pesto

  1. 5 ripe avocados, pitted and peeled
  2. 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
  3. 1/2 tbsp chile flakes
  4. 1 bunch basil, stems removed
  5. 2 oz unsalted pine nuts
  6. Kosher salt, to taste
  7. Fresh ground black pepper, to taste
  1. In a food processor, purée all ingredients.
  2. Add cold water as needed to adjust to your preferred texture and thickness.
